Ariendel brings Haldir « Thread Started on Jul 5, 2007, 2:56pm »
Ariendel guided Haldir to one of the beds. The Healing Wing looked more like a hotel dormitory, or as she imagined one would look like if such t thing existed, and nothing like the horribly depressing hospitals of the world of men. Thin muslin curtains wafted in the breeze, dimming the bright sunlight for the patients. The bedding was all white but was decorated with small vines of hand-sewn flowers - a winter evening passtime for someone. They looked comfy and inviting, as did the chairs situated beside them. A small shelf protruded from the wall on the other side, holding a vase of summer flowers and a few bottles of medicine. Doves coo-ed outside, the only sound.
She glanced at Haldir, trying to read her face or eyes but they were not yet revealing her secret.
"Here, make yourself comfortable," she instructed, taking the seat beside her and passing her one of the medicine bottles. "Take a few drops of this, it helps," knowing herself the calming abilities of bach flower Rescue Remedy.
Haldir went to go lay down on the bed, but ended up sitting on it instead. Taking the bottle of medicine, her eyes began to water, ashamed of her actions. She gripped the bottle tightly, not sure whether she should take it or not, but in the end decided to take a few drops, calming down immediately.
Wordlessly, Ariendel passed the girl a tissuse and then waited, not interrupting, not trying to tell her it was alright when it obviously wasn't, and directing her gaze out of the window so as not to stare.
Leaning back in the bed, Haldir continued her story:
"I was visiting an old friend of mine. And we decided to go camping to celebrate, since I hadn't seen him in years...A-And the third day we were out in the forest...I-I was sleeping, a-and when I woke up...h-he was...", at this moment, she burst into tears, not able to say the rest.
Healer Jiloá walked into the place hearing the thing and looking to them. "What have happened here."Jiloá said looking confused to them. "What happened with her and what is the problem that I need to take care of."Jiloá said smiling to the young elfs. "Oh what a day.'Jiloá said walking to the elf on the bed.
Nen entered the Healing Wing silently, hoping to say hi to Haldir. Spotting her friend immediately, she made her way to her bed, and then seeing her in tears, she held back. Her bag slipped off of her shoulder, and she dropped the strap and pushed it under a chair with her foot. She smiled worriedly at Haldir.
I sometimes feel as if I'm invisible, as if no one can see me at all.

Haldir buried her face in a pillow, trying not to draw too much attention, though she already had done so through her crying. Curling up, she sobbed harder into the pillow, not noticing that the Healer and Nen had entered the room.
